I want to start with #HashimotoDisease
because this is really where my journey truly began many years ago before I even got married or thought of having children.
➡️I lived my mid 20's in shame😥. Always embarrassed to admit why I kept cancelling dates and isolating myself from friends and relationships - my only excuse was "I'm tired." -But #ChronicFatigue
is MORE than just "tired" and back then I didn't even know that was a real #MedicalDiagnosis😔.
I was working night shifts 3xs a week and sleeping over 17 hours/day on my days off. I couldn't think. (Apparently they call that #brainfog),
because a part of me. I was in sooo much #pain
all the time😫. I stopped working out and doing the things I loved. 💔 (I didn't know my body was giving me warning signs for years🚩)
➡️I've been seeking answers since then but my #doctors
kept telling me everything was immaculate on paper. 🤷♀️ I truly began to believe everything was in my head until I started charting my BBT's. It was that hard data that gave me the #motivation
to press on and continue to seek answers.
💫Seriously, the ONE thing I didn't learn in #nursingschool
was the one that gave me the ability to narrow down a #diagnosis!
I am so passionate about educating other women about their #MenstrualCycles
for this reason!
📢You cannot say you're healthy just because you work out every day. If your cycles are not reflecting your #wellbeing,
then there's work that must be done from the inside!
🌈I'm happy to report that as of today, I have reversed or minimized most of my symptoms from pure lifestyle changes. I cannot wait to see how much more my health improves now that I have a diagnosis and I am surrounded by the most amazing #Napro
