From probably around 13 years old to my early 20’s, change was some scary thing I couldn’t wrap my mind around. I remember a specific time when I started high school where I just cried because it was so different - so many of my friends went elsewhere and the whole idea scared me.
But from that change, I found new friends, and learned new, important things that I would take with me later on.
And then that ended. And the cycle repeated. And that was something scary too. Again, I lost friends, but again, I made new ones along the way and AGAIN I learned so many important lessons that I would keep with me to this day.
It feels like it’s a never ending cycle - learning new things along the way and losing the old. But that’s how we grow.
Now that I’m a little older, I welcome change for what it is. As I watch the seasons switch from their earthy green colours, to their vibrant oranges and reds, I’m thankful for these moments of change that we get to experience over and over again. Because we never really lose the old. We take those moments with us through the new changes we experience. #motivationmonday
