I got myself a cane! ☀🚶✨
It has been hard to walk lately, as I've mentioned a few times 😔 I walk very slowly, it's exhausting, and I get various pains in my knees, hips and feet... Because of this, I've mostly stopped going out except for essential things.
So I decided to try and use a walking stick, and so far it's been great!! I'm much less exhausted and in less pain at the end of my trips! 💛 Thanks to this, I started talking walks in the nearby park again, which has been really good!
I'm still considering getting a wheelchair for my worst days, but I got a change of meds last week and things have gotten a bit better since then, so let's see how it goes 🤔
On a side note, it's hard to find a balance between posting honestly about how tired & sick I am, and wanting to have cute pictures of me. This was taken on a day when I felt particularly well, and I used quite a bit of makeup to hide the bags under my eyes and how pale I look. And I think that's ok! Making myself feel good by putting a nice outfit after weeks spent in pj's at home is ok! But I wanted to mention it. Also, even if I looked like this on a daily basis, it wouldn't make me less sick, because people shouldn't need to "look sick" (whatever that means) to be have their illnesses taken seriously, but that's another topic 😅
Anyway, enjoy the pics of me & my new cane! It's making me very happy!! I'll probably post more pics of this day later too 💛
Thanks @riikk_ka for the pic 📸
Thanks @jeminainkeri for all the cane advice & support 😘
